Summary

Our client is a Fortune 500 medical technologies firm dedicated to improving outcomes for patients and caregivers that designs equipment focused on performance and safety throughout the continuum of care. Its medical instrument line of business provides a full range of surgical instruments and implements to emergency medical services, operating rooms, ICUs, as well as for home care and a host of other medical settings. Prior to engaging with MedTec, their inventory management process was cumbersome, costly, and time-consuming.

Instead of sending recurrent inventory to one of its factories for processing, which is disruptive to its normal manufacturing operations, this company now utilizes a MedTec facility that is certified and dedicated to repairing, cleaning and decontaminating medical instruments. MedTec handles the inspection and validation of the inventory. MedTec also provides a strategically based infrastructure throughout the US, with regional operations and flexible capacity across its workforce to meet this company’s ongoing inventory needs. This shift has saved them a great deal of time, optimized demo utilization, and greatly increased throughput, allowing more demos and trials to positively impact sales revenue.

Summary

This company enables healthcare organizations to personalize and scale how they deliver healthcare at home with an all-in-one monitoring device that continuously and passively monitors patient health with the same accuracy as an ICU monitor. After years of working with leading health systems across the UK supporting home-based care models, they entered the US market after receiving FDA-clearance of their platform in 2019.

When this client began partnering with MedTec, they had no US infrastructure, other than a small accounting office in Delaware. We were able to provide bespoke solutions in transportation, systems, warehouses, personnel, product testing, inventory management and more to ensure that they were supported fully for its entire product lifecycle. Today, they have headquarters in the UK and in the US, delivering solutions on 5 continents, with 20,000 patients under management, and growing.

Result

This company has gained control of its trunk stock inventory, through real-time data and tracking, ensuring its compliance with industry regulations and allowing for intelligent management of product demonstrations and trials within hospitals and other health care settings.

Summary

Our client has an integrated sports medicine product portfolio inclusive of the latest technology for arthroscopic and open shoulder, hip, knee and small joint procedures. Their innovative sports medicine equipment includes implants, instrumentation, resection and biologic solutions. Sales representatives for this company handle a large inventory of trunk stock for product trials and demonstrations. Prior to their engagement with MedTec, their trunk stock was not well-managed and lacked visibility and accountability.

MedTec implemented a sophisticated and robust inventory tracking system to provide real-time data, enabling sales representatives and field service engineers to gain control of their trunk stock. This improvement allows their reps and management to know how much inventory is in the field at any given time, determine which products need to be pulled for inspection or refurbishing, and ensure the company is in compliance with industry regulations.
